This building was erected in 1927 to house the equipment and personnell needed to connect telephone calls from some 7,000 customers who lived or worked in this section of Detroit.

Architectural Style: Art Deco as applied to a functional building for a telephone company.
Use in 2009: I am not sure. I believe that it is owned by American Telephone and Telegraph, a successor firm to the business that constrcted the building.
